Biotech mogul Vivek Ramaswamy plans to make an eight-figure ad buy in Iowa and New Hampshire after next week’s third Republican primary debate, zeroing in on the early-voting states in an attempt to boost support. The 38-year-old’s campaign argued that releasing major ad buys before now would have been “stupid,” despite his national polling numbers averaging at 4.6%.“Vivek is making an eight-figure buy across Iowa and New Hampshire. Vivek’s not an idiot. Anytime earlier would have been stupid. And this is just the beginning,” spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told The Post.“They will start advertising on Saturday — this will include broadcast, cable, radio, digital and direct mail. If people thought he was aggressive with events leading up to this, stay tuned for post-Nov. 8,” she added, alluding to the date of the Miami Republican National Committee debate.Ramaswamy’s campaign and his aligned super PAC, American Exceptionalism PAC, have spent less money on advertising compared to total political action committee and campaign spending of candidates like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former President Donald Trump, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, who have all spent at least double on ads compared to the multimillionaire, according to AdImpact data.Ramaswamy hit his max national polling average of 8.1% on Sep. 21, according to RealClearPolitics. Since then, he has been steadily declining and is in fourth place behind Trump at 59.3%, DeSantis at 13.4% and Haley at 8.3%.In Iowa and New Hampshire, Ramaswamy is in fifth, slipping behind South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. One ad will feature Ramaswamy looking directly at the camera, saying, “My name is Vivek Ramaswamy, and I speak the truth.”“There are two genders. Reverse racism is racism. An open border is not a border. Parents determine the education of their children. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind. Capitalism lifts us up from poverty, and the US Constitution is the greatest guarantor of freedom in human history,” he continues in the ad shared with The Post.Other campaigns and super PACs have also continued to hit the airwaves with advertisements.DeSantis’ campaign released its first ad in Iowa on Thursday contrasting his record with that of President Biden. Never Back Down, the super PAC backing DeSantis, has spent just over $30 million so far on spots and is considering pumping out more, depending on what the campaign side does, a source familiar with their advertising strategy previously told The Post.DeSantis, 45, and Haley, 51, have been issuing attacks on each other via their advertisements, with Never Back Down hitting the former Trump UN ambassador on her record on China and claims about her stance on Gaza refugees. In turn, Haley’s camp issued an online ad called “Desperate DeSantis,” claiming he’s going after her because he’s slipping in the polls.Trump’s campaign released a new TV ad in Iowa and New Hampshire on Wednesday, the former president’s spokesperson Steven Cheung said. MAGA Inc., the super PAC backing Trump, 77, has spent over $27 million in advertisements so far.Scott’s campaign previously announced ad buy set to run through the end of November, and have $1.6 million in Iowa going forward, the 58-year-old’s rep Nicole Morales said.
